Shabby Princess.....

Good Morning!!
Today I want to show you a shabby creation and the
gorgeous roses are just perfect for the look!

The beautiful lace is such a nice touch for the shabby look as well!
I even added some pretty pink rhinestones to her crown.
Here is a close up of the beautiful assortment of flowers.
gorgeous hip rosebuds and a couple 4mm closed rosebuds.

To get them like this I just sprayed them with marshmellow
glimmer mist and let that dry. Then I went over the edges with
some distress crackle paint. The glimmer mist
makes the flower more stiff and it is easier to apply the paint.
I just adore the way it turns out.
I have added some shabby crinkled seam binding to my
tag as well!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a lovely week-end!
:)Kathy

New Roses, poppies and seam binding

Trellis Roses are on the website now! OMW these are simply stunning and I really don’t think they are going to be around for long (there is limited quantities for now so be quick if you want them). The detail on them is amazing. They are available in two sizes – 35mm and 40mm. I have used the 35mm on my card today, and Jacqui has used the 40mm. You can pop across to our blogs to get all the details for the cards.

Both of us have used the new Sugar Nellie stamps and didn’t know the other was using the same stamps lol, so forgive us for being so predictable lol.

Jacqui’s stunning card using the 40 mm Trellis Rose, cherry blossoms and seam binding (I will add the link as soon as the seam binding is on the website (later this evening)

jac

And I have used 35mm Trellis Roses, poppies, 15mm roses and 10mm roses as well as the scrummy seam binding and rhinestones.

Sparkly Rhinestones.........

Good Afternoon!!!
I thought I would show off a card I made
with some of the beautiful rhinestones now
available at the shop!
They really add alot of sparkle to the card and I am
pleased with how it turned out!

I made a pattern out of the clear and blue and placed them
in the scrolls of the punch!  I think it is
such a pretty effect especially with a snowy card!

I know your all probably sick of the snow by now so sorry
for a snowy card. But I don't get any now where I moved
and I miss it!! (I know but I am not crazy LOL)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope
you all enjoy your day!

A little bit of Spring

I have a spring themed card today, just what I needed to cheer up these dull, dark days – I hate winter lol.I am not a yellow fan (unless it’s teamed with pink) but lately I seem to be using it quite a bit.

ellie-yellow

The remembered I had these beautiful daffodils from last spring so made the card around the flowers.  The other flowers I have used are cherry blossoms and 15mm roses.  Everything including the leaves were blasted with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist.

Enjoy your weekend

Cool Birthday

Hi peeps!

For the first time in a looong while, I've made a card "just for fun", and not as a DT project :)
I found a great sketch at the Sugar Bowl Challenge #50, and it was so fun to play with!
I wanted to make the card look "cold" and glittery in pink and grey colours, and this is how it turned out.

Size: 15 x 15 cm
Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee, DistressInk - PumiceStone & Victorian Velvet, Water Mark Ink Pad.
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - image, Lili of the Valley - text (not in store).
Colouring: Distress Ink - Refills (mainly Pumice Stone and a mix of Spun Sugar & Dusty Concord).
Papers: Memory Box - Gossamer Collection, Bazzill - white & pink cardstock, Canson - Montval aquarellpaper 200g.
Tools: Spellbinders - Nesting Label, Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, EK Success - Snowflake punch, StampinUp! - Word Window punch, Martha Stewart - Scandinavian Snowflake punch, Inkido - Frost Embossing Powder, Heat Gun.
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts - Open Paper Roses 20 mm, 15 mm & 10 mm, Semi Open Roses 8 mm, Rosebuds 4 mm, Aster Daisies, Gypsophilas & Self Adhesive Pearls, Ranger - Stickles "Star Dust" (I luv this glitter glue), lace.
